The Salt Cut

A cut in the largest isle's cliff, iron and silver, the yard washed at every high tide.

A closer look

At the threshold

The working yard belongs to the tide as much as to the miners. Water cleans it back to stone, then withdraws and leaves the tools exposed again. Beyond the bright cliff mouth, the cut narrows into cool mineral dark.
